Mangalô
Mangalô is a project were the best songwriting of Brazil is interpreted with modern vision and tools such as loopers with the result of a fresh new interpretation that surprises and mesmerizes audiences.
Songs in the of MPB repertoire [Djavan, Lenine, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso] are mixed with traditional rhythms of northeastern Brazil and spiced up with musical influences from all over the world.
The infectious grooves like Xote, Rasta Pé, Afoxé, Maracatú mixed with Funk and live loops inspire even the most reluctant audiences to dance and the skillful players in the band take the music to its highest level.
Groovy world music at its best!
Mangalô is Teresa Ines [acoustic guitar, voice], Sandro Pereira Scoccia [electric bass, percussion] and Marcus Santos [percussions, vocals] with the addition of effects like loopers and delays to create a unique sonic scenery.
