Under 9 Children's show

The show for children under 9 years old is one of our most cherished project. The show consists of an introductory part in which the young audiences are exposed to the history, music, language and lifestyle of Brazil.

It is a journey with music at its core that leads the children to learn some basic word of the Portuguese language and some of the things Brazil is renown for: the Amazon rain forest, Carnival, Samba music and the many rhythms, dance and traditions.

The many musical influences of the country are highlighted by the exposure to music instruments coming from different traditions, like guitar for Europe, pandeiro/surdo from Africa, pĂfano/berimbau for Native people.

Following that presentation we have a participatory session in which the children are divided in small group of 25/30 and learn some traditional dances, how to play instruments of a Samba percussion group and reinforce some of the language skills introduced in the preliminary session.
